The SHOWA 240-11 is a flame-resistant welding glove designed for TIG and light MIG welding applications. Built on a 13-gauge knit construction, it carries an A4 cut resistance rating and Level 2 arc flash protection, shielding hands from flames, sparks, and electrical flash hazards. At 10.5 inches in length and sized 2X-Large, the glove provides extended wrist and forearm coverage. The gray shell with black accents features a rough-surface grip finish that maintains control of tools and workpieces during extended work sessions. Welders, fabricators, and industrial maintenance techs are the primary installers and users of this glove.
This glove is suited for light industrial welding environments where both cut and flame hazards are present. The A4 cut rating makes it appropriate for handling sheet metal, wire feed, and other sharp-edged materials common in fabrication shops and field welding work. The irritation-free liner construction supports all-day wear in residential, commercial, and light industrial settings. It is sold by the dozen with a minimum order quantity of 6 pairs.
Designed for TIG and light MIG welding applications requiring A4 cut resistance and Level 2 arc flash protection in fabrication and industrial maintenance environments.
Welding gloves should be inspected before each use for burns, tears, or degraded seams that could compromise protection. Ensure the glove fits snugly with no loose material near open flame or moving equipment. Do not use gloves that are damp, contaminated with grease, or showing visible wear through the shell. PPE selection and replacement should follow applicable OSHA 1910 Subpart I personal protective equipment standards.
