The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME UC607LFA is a lead-free brass sweat adapter designed to transition copper pipe to PEX tubing in potable water plumbing systems. The fitting features a 1/2 inch PEX barb on one end and a 1/2 inch male sweat (solder) connection on the other, allowing a plumber to join copper and PEX runs without specialty press tools. Connections are secured with stainless steel cinch clamps using a compatible cinch tool. The wetted surface contains less than 0.25 percent lead by weight, meeting both California AB1953 and Vermont VT S152 low-lead requirements. This package contains 12 adapters sold as a unit.

This adapter is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing installations where a technician needs to transition from an existing copper distribution system to a PEX branch or repair run. Installation Notes

Installation is performed by a licensed plumber. Shut off and depressurize the water supply before cutting into any existing copper line. Slide the cinch clamp onto the PEX tubing before inserting the barb end, then position and crimp the clamp with the compatible cinch tool to complete the PEX side of the connection.
