The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME UC370LFCP25 is a lead-free brass barb insert tee designed for joining three runs of 3/4-inch cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) tubing in potable water systems. Each fitting features barbed ends that seat firmly inside PEX pipe and are secured using cinch clamps with a cinch tool, or copper crimp rings with a crimp tool. The brass construction meets NSF/ANSI Standard 14-2009 and ASTM F 1807 requirements for potable water transport. The wetted surfaces contain less than 0.25% lead by weight, satisfying AB1953 California and VT S152 Vermont low-lead restrictions. This pack contains 25 fittings, making it well suited for rough-in plumbing work where multiple tee connections are required. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers.
This fitting is used in residential and light commercial PEX plumbing installations, including domestic water distribution, radiant heating supply and return lines, and repiping projects. The tee configuration allows a branch connection off a continuous PEX run without special tooling beyond standard cinch or crimp equipment. Each fitting is immediately testable to well over 100 psi after installation, allowing pressure testing to proceed without cure time delays. Compatible securing hardware includes TV 608-826 cinch clamps used with the TV 608-743 cinch tool, or standard copper crimp rings used with a PEX crimp tool.
Designed for use with 3/4-inch cross-linked polyethylene PEX tubing. Securing hardware includes TV 608-826 cinch clamps with the TV 608-743 cinch tool, or copper crimp rings with a standard PEX crimp tool.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into any existing piping. Ensure barb ends are fully seated inside the PEX tubing before applying cinch clamps or crimp rings. Inspect each connection visually before pressure testing the system.
