The SHARKBITE UAB3088FXSS18LF is a 3/4-inch PEX-A brass expansion by 3/4-inch FIP stainless steel flexible water heater connector measuring 18 inches in length. This fitting bridges PEX-A pipe to the male iron pipe (MIP) threads on a new or existing water heater inlet. The brass expansion end is lead-free and dezincification-resistant, complying with lead-free potable water requirements. The flexible stainless steel braided body accommodates minor alignment offsets and absorbs vibration. Licensed plumbers and water heater installers typically use this connector during water heater replacements or new installations where PEX-A distribution piping terminates at the unit.

This connector is intended for residential and light commercial water heater hook-ups where PEX-A pipe is run to the heater location. The expansion end requires a compatible PEX-A expansion tool and appropriately sized expansion rings to seat the fitting correctly before making the connection. Installation Notes
