The SharkBite UAB088LFA is a 3/4-inch PEX-A x 3/4-inch female NPT brass expansion adapter fitting designed for potable water distribution systems. This fitting connects PEX-A tubing to threaded female NPT ports using an expansion-style joint, which requires a compatible PEX expansion tool and the appropriate expansion rings to complete the connection. Constructed from lead-free, dezincification-resistant brass, the UAB088LFA meets the material requirements for drinking water applications. It is sold in a package of 12 fittings and is intended for installation by licensed plumbers working on residential or light commercial water distribution piping.

This adapter is used where PEX-A supply piping transitions to a threaded female NPT connection, such as at valves, manifolds, water heaters, or fixture shutoffs. The expansion fitting method creates a strong, reliable joint as the expanded PEX-A pipe and ring contract around the fitting body after the connection is made. This fitting is strictly for use with PEX-A pipe and is not compatible with PEX-B or PEX-C tubing. Applications include new construction rough-in and repipe work in potable cold and hot water lines.

Installation Notes
