Sold as a 5-pack, each fitting measures 3/4 inches by 3/4 inches by 1/2 inches and uses the expansion-ring connection method for a secure, watertight joint. Installation requires a compatible PEX expansion tool and matching expansion rings. The fitting material expands during installation and contracts back around the pipe, creating a connection that increases in holding strength over time. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers for this type of fitting in residential and light commercial plumbing work.

The UA412A5 is approved for potable water service lines and is rated for direct burial applications, including encasement in concrete.
