The SHARKBITE CASH ACME UA362A5 is a 1/2-inch PEX-A poly expansion tee fitting, sold in a 5-pack, designed for use in potable water distribution systems. This fitting uses the expansion method: the PEX-A pipe is expanded with a compatible expansion tool, an expansion ring is placed over the pipe end, and the fitting is inserted. As the pipe returns to its original diameter, it forms a tight, leak-resistant joint that continues to strengthen over time. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in residential and light commercial water supply applications.

The UA362A5 is rated for water service lines and is approved for burial applications, including installations encased in concrete. This makes it suitable for underground supply runs, slab penetrations, and below-grade distribution work where reliable long-term performance is critical. Because it is compatible with PEX-A pipe only, installers must confirm pipe type before specifying this fitting. It is not compatible with PEX-B or PEX-C pipe.
