The SHARKBITE U870B300 is a 300-foot coil of 3/4-inch CTS (Copper Tube Size) blue cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) tubing designed for potable water distribution systems. The tubing is printed with a SharkBite imprint pattern at regular intervals, giving installers a visual reference to confirm full tube insertion into SharkBite push-fit fittings. At 50 pounds per coil, this is a high-volume run of flexible tubing suited for residential and light commercial plumbing rough-ins where long continuous runs reduce the number of joints and fittings required.
This tubing is used in residential and light commercial cold-water supply lines. The blue color coding is a standard industry convention for cold-water lines, making it easy to distinguish supply routing in a chase, wall cavity, or mechanical room. It is appropriate for under-slab, in-wall, and exposed runs where local code permits PEX. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters typically install this product during rough-in on new construction or remodel projects. The 300-foot coil length supports full-building home runs from a central manifold without mid-run splices.
Designed for use with SharkBite push-fit fittings and other fittings rated for 3/4-inch CTS PEX tubing. Suitable for potable water distribution in systems where PEX tubing is approved by local plumbing code.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local amendments. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before making any connections. Use a PEX deburring and chamfering tool to ensure a clean, square tube end before inserting into push-fit or crimp fittings. Verify that the SharkBite imprint pattern is fully concealed inside the fitting body to confirm proper insertion depth before restoring pressure.
