The SHARKBITE CASH ACME U870B20 is a 3/4-inch CTS (Copper Tube Size) PEX-B stick pipe in blue, manufactured using the silane cross-linking method. This 20-foot straight stick is rated for cold water distribution at 1,100 psi at 73 degrees F and 375 psi at 180 degrees F. PEX-B construction incorporates additional anti-oxidants and thermal stabilizers compared to other PEX types, making it well-suited for chlorinated water systems and recirculation applications. Licensed plumbers and pipe fitters install this product in residential and light commercial potable water systems.

This pipe is intended for cold water supply lines in residential and commercial plumbing systems. It is compatible with 3/4-inch Quick Connect and brass PEX insert fittings. The blue color coding helps distinguish cold water runs from hot water lines during rough-in and inspection. The SDR-9 wall dimension ratio meets ASTM standards, and the pipe is approved for use with ASTM SDR-9 certified fittings from other manufacturers without voiding the warranty.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting or connecting. Support pipe every 30 inches both vertically and horizontally, and protect the pipe where it enters or exits slabs or walls. Do not kink the pipe, expose it to direct sunlight, use duct tape, pipe dope, threading compound, or mineral or linseed oil. Maintain minimum clearances: 18 inches from water heaters, boilers, and wood-burning appliances; 12 inches from recessed lights; and 6 inches from gas appliance vents.
