The SHARKBITE U708A is a 3/8 inch disconnect clip designed for use with SharkBite push-fit fittings in plumbing systems. This clip allows technicians to release push-fit connections quickly and cleanly without damaging the fitting or tubing. Constructed of DZR (dezincification-resistant) brass, it is rated to 200 PSI and 200 degrees F, making it suitable for both cold and hot water distribution applications. The U708A includes an integral tube liner, which supports the tubing end during connection and removal. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this clip as part of routine maintenance, system modifications, or fitting replacements.

This disconnect clip is compatible with SharkBite push-fit fittings on copper CTS, CPVC, and PEX tubing at the 3/8 inch size. It is certified for use on potable water and hydronic water distribution systems. The U708A is also certified for underground applications as a manufactured joint, eliminating the need for access panels in qualifying installations. Installation Notes

Installation and removal of push-fit fittings should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local IPC or UPC requirements. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before attempting to disconnect any fitting. Insert the disconnect clip around the tubing at the fitting collar and push toward the fitting body to release the collet before pulling the tubing free. Do not reuse fittings or tubing ends that show signs of damage or deformation.
