The SharkBite U416LFA is a lead-free push-fit reducing tee designed for fast, tool-free connections in potable and hydronic water distribution systems. Constructed from DZR (dezincification-resistant) brass, this fitting measures 1 inch x 1 inch x 3/4 inch and handles pressures up to 200 psi at temperatures up to 200 degrees F. An integral tube liner is included, which supports the pipe end inside the fitting to maintain a secure, leak-tight joint. Sold in a package of 3 units, this fitting is a practical choice for plumbers working on residential and light commercial water supply lines where quick, reliable connections are required.
The U416LFA push-fit reducing tee is compatible with copper tubing (CTS), CPVC, and PEX pipe, making it a versatile option across a wide range of plumbing configurations. It is suited for residential and commercial water distribution applications, including branch take-offs where a 1-inch main line steps down to a 3/4-inch branch. The fitting is also certified for underground applications as a manufactured joint, eliminating the need for access panels in certain buried installations. Licensed plumbers rely on this fitting for both new construction and retrofit work.
Compatible with copper tubing (CTS), CPVC, and PEX pipe. Certified for use on potable and hydronic water distribution systems. Listed with IAPMO and meets UPC, IPC, and CUPC requirements.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers following applicable local plumbing codes referencing the IPC or UPC. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting and preparing pipe ends. Pipe ends must be cut cleanly and squarely, deburred, and wiped free of debris before inserting into the fitting to ensure a leak-free push-fit connection. Do not exceed the rated pressure and temperature limits of 200 psi and 200 degrees F in service.
