The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME U3088FLEX24LF is a lead-free, stainless steel braided water heater connector designed for residential and light commercial water heater installations. It features 3/4-inch female iron pipe (FIP) connections on both ends and a 24-inch flexible braided body. The connector is constructed of DZR brass fittings and includes an integral tube liner, making it compatible with SharkBite push-fit technology for use with copper, CPVC, and PEX tubing. Rated to 200 PSI and 200 degrees F, it delivers reliable performance in potable and hydronic water distribution systems. Licensed plumbers and water heater installers are the primary trade installing this fitting.
This connector is suited for water heater supply connections in residential and light commercial applications. The push-fit end design works with copper tubing, CPVC, and PEX, eliminating the need for soldering or additional fittings on compatible pipe types. It is certified for underground applications as a manufactured joint, meaning no access panel is required. The 24-inch length provides ample flexibility for standard water heater rough-in configurations where some offset or alignment adjustment is needed between the supply stub-out and the heater inlet.
Designed for use with copper tubing (copper tube size), CPVC, and PEX. Compatible with SharkBite push-fit fittings on applicable pipe ends. Suitable for potable and hydronic water distribution systems. Meets UPC, IPC, and CUPC requirements. Listed with IAPMO.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes, IPC, or UPC requirements as adopted by the jurisdiction. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before making any connections. When using the push-fit end, ensure tubing is cut cleanly and squarely and that the integral tube liner is properly seated before inserting into the fitting. Do not exceed the rated pressure and temperature limits of 200 PSI and 200 degrees F.
