Product Description

The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME U3068FLEX18LF is a lead-free, braided stainless steel water heater connector designed for residential and light commercial water heater installations. The fitting measures 1/2 inch on the push-fit end and 3/4 inch Female Iron Pipe (FIP) on the heater end, with an 18-inch flexible stainless steel braid. The connector body is constructed of DZR brass and includes an integral tube liner. It is rated to 200 psi and 200 degrees F. Licensed plumbers and water heater installers are the primary trade for this component.

This connector is used to link a water heater to the supply and outlet piping in residential and light commercial potable water systems. The SharkBite push-fit end is compatible with copper tubing, CPVC, and PEX pipe, eliminating the need for soldering or threaded connections on the pipe side. It is certified for use in potable and hydronic water distribution systems and is also approved for underground applications as a manufactured joint without requiring an access panel.
