The SHARKBITE U2008-0000LFA is a 1/2 inch lead-free check valve designed for push-fit installation without tools or solder. Constructed from DZR (dezincification-resistant) brass, this fitting is rated to 200 PSI and 200 degrees F, making it suitable for both cold and hot water service. The push-fit end connection accepts copper, CPVC, and PEX tubing, with an integral tube liner included for PEX applications. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this valve in potable and hydronic water distribution systems where backflow prevention is required at the fitting level.

This check valve is intended for residential and light commercial plumbing applications. It is certified for underground use as a manufactured joint, eliminating the need for access panels at buried locations. Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local code and the applicable IPC or UPC requirements. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before installation or removal. Verify tubing is cut square and deburred, and that the tube liner is seated correctly inside any PEX pipe before pushing into the fitting. The push-fit connection requires the tubing to be inserted fully to the depth mark; use a disconnect clip or disconnect tool to remove the fitting if repositioning is needed.
