Product Description

The SHARKBITE U088LFA is a 3/4-inch female iron pipe (FIP) push-fit connector constructed from dezincification-resistant (DZR) brass. It is rated to 200 psi and 200 degrees F, making it suitable for both potable water and hydronic distribution systems. The integral tube liner is included, eliminating the need for a separate insert when connecting PEX tubing. No soldering, crimping, or special tools are required for installation. Licensed plumbers and experienced pipe fitters install this fitting in new construction and retrofit applications where a secure, code-compliant threaded-to-push-fit transition is needed.

This connector is designed for use with copper tubing (CTS), CPVC, and PEX pipe. It is certified for underground applications as a manufactured joint, removing the requirement for access panels in those installations. The fitting is listed with IAPMO and certified for potable and hydronic water distribution. It meets UPC, IPC, and CUPC requirements and is compliant with Federal Law 111-380 for lead-free products. Each package contains 12 connectors, supplied bagged.

Installation Notes

For PEX connections, confirm the included integral tube liner is properly seated before pushing the pipe into the fitting body.
