Product Description

The SHARKBITE U008LFA is a lead-free push-fit coupling designed for fast, tool-free connections in residential and commercial plumbing systems. Constructed from DZR (dezincification-resistant) brass, this 1/2-inch by 1/2-inch fitting accepts copper tubing (CTS), CPVC, and PEX pipe. An integral tube liner is included, eliminating the need for a separate insert when connecting PEX. Rated to 200 psi and 200 degrees F, it meets the pressure and temperature demands of potable and hydronic water distribution systems. Licensed plumbers and experienced pipefitters are the primary installers of this fitting.

This coupling is suited for use in residential and light commercial water distribution lines where a no-solder, no-crimp connection is required. It is certified for underground applications as a manufactured joint, meaning no access panel is required after burial. Installation Notes

Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable IPC or UPC code requirements. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before cutting into an existing line. Ensure pipe ends are cut cleanly and squarely and deburred before insertion into the fitting. Do not exceed the rated pressure or temperature limits of 200 psi and 200 degrees F.
