The SHARKBITE U004LFA is a 1/4-inch x 1/4-inch lead-free push fit coupling constructed from DZR brass. It connects copper tubing (CTS), CPVC, and PEX pipe without soldering, crimping, or clamps. An integral tube liner is included for use with PEX. The fitting is rated to 200 psi and 200 degrees F, making it suitable for both potable water and hydronic distribution systems. Licensed plumbers and journeymen install this fitting on residential and light commercial water distribution lines where a fast, code-compliant connection is required. Sold in a pack of 12 individually bagged fittings.

The U004LFA is designed for use in new construction and retrofit plumbing applications where copper CTS, CPVC, or PEX tubing is present. Installation Notes

Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the applicable IPC or UPC code for the jurisdiction. Shut off water supply and relieve system pressure before cutting into any existing line. Ensure pipe ends are cut square and deburred before insertion into the fitting to achieve a proper seal. For PEX connections, confirm the integral tube liner is seated correctly inside the pipe end prior to pushing into the fitting body.
