The SHARKBITE K514A6 is a six-pack of 1/2-inch push-to-connect Evopex plastic end stop fittings designed for permanent plumbing terminations. Built from a high-performance polymer with chemical and chloramine resistance, these fittings seal a pipe end without tools, rings, or a de-mount clip. The push-to-connect mechanism includes a visual indicator that confirms a proper, fully seated connection. Maximum rated temperature is 200 degrees F and maximum rated pressure is 160 psi. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install these fittings in residential and light commercial water distribution systems where a clean, reliable pipe termination is required.
Evopex end stops are suited for residential and light commercial potable water plumbing applications. The tool-free installation process reduces labor time and minimizes the learning curve for newer installers. Because the fitting exterior has no external rings or clips that can be nicked or damaged, the risk of a compromised seal at the fitting body is eliminated. These fittings are intended as a permanent installation — SHARKBITE Evopex fittings are not designed to be removed once installed, so they should be placed only where a permanent termination is acceptable.
Designed for use with 1/2-inch pipe in push-to-connect potable water plumbing systems. Compatible with systems meeting UPC, IPC, and CUPC code requirements. These fittings are permanent and are not intended for applications where future disassembly may be needed.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before installing any fitting. Ensure the pipe end is cut cleanly and squarely and is free of burrs before inserting into the fitting. Because Evopex fittings are not removable once installed, verify pipe routing and fitting placement before pushing the pipe to seat.
