The SHARKBITE CASH ACME FIPA3838Z is a 3/8-inch FIP x 3/8-inch OD compression quarter-turn full-port brass ball angle valve designed for residential plumbing supply line connections. The FIP (female iron pipe) inlet threads directly onto an existing pipe using pipe thread sealant, while the 3/8-inch OD compression outlet accepts a standard supply line. The quarter-turn ball mechanism provides a fast, reliable shutoff with no tools required at the valve handle. Built from brass construction, this angle valve is well-suited for tight under-sink and behind-toilet installations where a 90-degree flow path is required. Licensed plumbers and experienced plumbing tradespeople are the typical installers.
This angle stop valve is intended for residential plumbing applications including ice maker supply lines, toilet fill valves, and faucet supply connections. The FIP inlet is compatible with iron pipe. The compression outlet connects to standard 3/8-inch OD flexible supply lines commonly used in bathroom and kitchen fixture rough-in work. Its angle body design makes it a practical fit in confined spaces where inline valves are difficult to service or access.

Shut off the main water supply and relieve line pressure before removing or installing any angle stop valve. Apply pipe thread sealant to the male iron pipe threads before threading the FIP inlet onto the pipe — do not overtighten. Connect the supply line to the 3/8-inch OD compression outlet and verify there are no leaks under full system pressure before returning the fixture to service.
