The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME UIP372A is a 3/4-inch PVC to Copper Tube Size (CTS) transition slip tee designed for plumbers adding a branch line while converting between pipe materials in an existing system. The center connection accepts Schedule 40, 80, and 120 PVC as well as IPS CPVC Schedule 40 and 80. The mustard-colored collar end grips copper, PEX, CPVC, or PE-RT pipe in CTS sizing. The slip feature allows up to 2 inches of pipe to be removed from a rigid installation, making mid-run repairs and tee-ins straightforward without cutting out excessive pipe length. Sold in a pack of 3.
This fitting is used in residential and light commercial plumbing where an existing CTS copper, PEX, CPVC, or PE-RT run needs a branch connection transitioned out to PVC Schedule 40, 80, or 120. Typical applications include adding supply lines, lateral connections, or service branches in potable water and general plumbing distribution systems. The color-coded ends help differentiate the PVC side from the CTS push side during installation, reducing connection errors in mixed-material systems.
Center connection fits Schedule 40, 80, and 120 PVC pipe and IPS CPVC Schedule 40 and 80 pipe. Mustard collar end fits 3/4-inch CTS copper, PEX, CPVC, and PE-RT pipe.
This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers working on potable water distribution or general plumbing systems. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before cutting into any existing pipe run. Confirm pipe sizing is true Copper Tube Size on the CTS end and verify PVC schedule on the slip end before solvent welding or push-fitting. Work must comply with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC requirements for transition fittings in the system being serviced.
