The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME UIP134A is a push-fit male connector designed to transition between 3/4-inch PVC pipe and a 3/4-inch male nominal pipe thread (MNPT) fitting. One end accepts PVC pipe using a tool-free push-fit connection, while the opposite end terminates in a male NPT thread for joining to threaded fittings, valves, or equipment ports. The connector is sold in a package of 6, making it practical for multi-point installations. Licensed plumbers and experienced pipe installers use this fitting in potable water, irrigation, and general-purpose piping systems where a quick PVC-to-threaded transition is needed without solvent cementing.
This connector is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing applications where PVC piping meets threaded components. Typical scenarios include connecting PVC supply lines to threaded shutoff valves, pressure gauges, or equipment inlets. The push-fit design eliminates the need for primer and cement at the PVC end, reducing installation time when making transitions in tight or confined spaces. Each package contains 6 connectors for job-site convenience.
Designed for use with 3/4-inch PVC pipe on the push-fit end and standard 3/4-inch NPT threaded connections on the male thread end, consistent with typical residential and light commercial plumbing piping configurations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before making any connections. Ensure the PVC pipe end is cut square, deburred, and clean before inserting into the push-fit socket. Apply thread sealant tape or compound to the male NPT threads before connecting to a threaded fitting to prevent leaks.
