The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME UC606LFA is a 3/4-inch brass PEX barb x 3/4-inch female sweat adapter designed to transition copper pipe to PEX tubing in potable water plumbing systems. The fitting is lead-free, with wetted surfaces containing less than 0.25% lead by weight, making it compliant with AB1953 California and VT S152 Vermont low-lead restrictions. It connects using stainless steel cinch clamps applied with a Cinch Tool TV 608-743. Licensed plumbers install this fitting during repipe work, system extensions, or repair jobs where copper and PEX materials meet at a transition point.
This adapter is suited for both residential and light commercial plumbing applications where a reliable copper-to-PEX transition is required. It is NSF CL-R certified for use in hot water systems where chlorinated water up to 140 degrees Fahrenheit is continuously recirculated, making it appropriate for domestic hot water recirculation loops. The fitting meets ASTM F-876 and ASTM F-877 standards to SDR-9 dimensional requirements and carries NSF 14 and 61 listings for potable water service. It also conforms to CSA B137.5 standards.
Designed for use with 3/4-inch copper pipe on the sweat end and 3/4-inch PEX tubing on the barb end, connected with stainless steel cinch clamps using Cinch Tool TV 608-743, conforming to SDR-9 dimensional standards.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before beginning work. The sweat end requires standard soldering with a torch and appropriate flux and solder; the PEX barb end is secured with a stainless steel cinch clamp using the specified cinch tool. Do not overtighten or use crimp rings in place of cinch clamps unless confirmed compatible with this fitting.
