Product Description

The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME UC532LFA is a lead-free brass barb insert faucet adapter elbow designed to connect 1/2-inch PEX (cross-linked polyethylene) tubing to a 1/2-inch male iron pipe thread faucet shank at a 90-degree angle. The barb end secures to PEX pipe using cinch clamps with a cinch tool or copper crimp rings with a crimp tool. The swivel plastic nut on the female pipe thread end allows easy hand-alignment before final tightening. Once installed, the joint is immediately testable to well over 100 psi. This fitting is sold in a package of 6 and is intended for potable water service in residential and light commercial plumbing applications.

This elbow is used in PEX plumbing installations where a faucet shank connection is required at a right angle. Typical applications include under-sink faucet supply lines, lavatory connections, and kitchen faucet rough-ins where PEX tubing terminates at a fixture. The 90-degree geometry reduces the need for additional offset fittings in tight cabinet spaces. Installation Notes
