The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME UC444LFA is a lead-free brass barb PEX tee fitting sized 3/4 inch x 1/2 inch x 3/4 inch, designed for use in residential and light commercial potable water distribution systems. It connects PEX tubing using stainless steel cinch clamps applied with a cinch tool, providing a secure, corrosion-resistant joint. The brass construction delivers durability in both hot and cold water service, and the wetted surfaces contain less than 0.25% lead by weight, meeting the requirements of California AB1953 and Vermont VT S152 low-lead statutes. This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers during rough-in or retrofit work on PEX-based water supply lines.
The UC444LFA is suited for potable water supply systems using SDR-9 dimensional standard PEX tubing. It is NSF 61 listed for use in potable water systems and NSF CL-R certified for hot water applications where chlorinated water at up to 140 degrees F is continuously recirculated. The fitting conforms to ASTM F-876, ASTM F-877, and CSA B137.5 standards. Typical installations include branch takeoffs in residential water distribution manifolds or point-of-use supply connections where a 3/4 inch main run feeds a 1/2 inch branch outlet.
Designed for use with SDR-9 dimensional standard PEX tubing connected using stainless steel cinch clamps and cinch tool TV 608-743. Suitable for potable hot and cold water distribution systems meeting NSF 14 and NSF 61 requirements.
This fitting is installed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code and applicable local codes. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into existing PEX tubing. Use the correct cinch tool and stainless steel clamps rated for the tubing size to ensure a leak-free crimp. Do not exceed the pressure and temperature ratings established by the applicable ASTM and CSA standards for the PEX system.
