The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME UC4008LFA is a lead-free brass coupling designed to transition 1/2-inch polybutylene tubing to 1/2-inch PEX tubing. The fitting uses a barb-style connection on the polybutylene side and is secured with stainless steel cinch clamps, requiring a compatible cinch tool. Brass construction with a wetted surface containing less than 0.25 percent lead by weight keeps this fitting within California AB1953 and Vermont VT S152 low-lead restrictions. It is rated for continuous hot water circulation at up to 140 degrees F, making it appropriate for domestic hot water and recirculating systems. Package includes 6 fittings per unit.
