Product Description

The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME UC374LFA is a 1-inch lead-free brass barb insert tee designed for connecting three pieces of 1-inch cross-linked polyethylene PEX tubing in potable water systems. Built from brass with a wetted surface containing less than 0.25% lead by weight, it meets California AB1953 and Vermont VT S152 low-lead requirements. The fitting is immediately testable to well over 100 psi once installed, making it practical for pressure verification during rough-in inspections. Licensed plumbers and experienced installers use this fitting in residential and light commercial PEX distribution systems.

This tee is suited for branch connections in hot and cold potable water distribution lines using 1-inch PEX tubing. It is secured using cinch clamps with a compatible cinch tool or copper crimp rings with a compatible crimp tool — fastening hardware is sold separately. The fitting is appropriate for residential new construction, remodel work, and repair applications wherever 1-inch PEX branching is required. Package quantity is 6 fittings per unit.

Compatibility

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into existing pipe. Use the appropriate crimp or cinch tool rated for the fastening method selected — improper tooling can result in an incomplete seal. Verify the joint with a pressure test before closing the wall or concealing the work.
