The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME UC370LFA is a 3/4-inch lead free brass barb insert tee designed for joining three runs of 3/4-inch cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) tubing in potable water systems. The barbed ends grip the tubing securely and are compatible with cinch clamps or copper crimp rings for a leak-resistant connection. The fitting is immediately testable to well over 100 psi once secured. Wetted surfaces contain less than 0.25% lead by weight, meeting California AB1953 and Vermont VT S152 low-lead restrictions. Licensed plumbers and HVAC hydronics technicians install this fitting in residential and light commercial plumbing applications.
This tee is used wherever a PEX distribution line needs to branch into a tee configuration — common in residential water supply rough-ins, radiant heating manifold branch lines, and retrofit repiping projects. It is secured using TV 608-826 cinch clamps with a TV 608-743 cinch tool, or standard copper crimp rings with a compatible crimp tool. The 12-unit package suits multi-outlet rough-in work. Its solid brass construction handles typical domestic water system pressures and temperatures without deformation or corrosion.
Designed for use with 3/4-inch cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) tubing. Secure using TV 608-826 cinch clamps with TV 608-743 cinch tool, or copper crimp rings with a compatible crimp tool.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting into any existing pipe. Ensure PEX tubing ends are cut cleanly and squarely before seating onto the barbed fitting. Do not use open flame or heat tools near PEX tubing during installation.
