The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME UC140LFA is a 1-inch lead free brass barb insert x 1-inch male iron pipe thread (MIP) adapter designed to connect 1-inch cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) tubing to a 1-inch female iron pipe thread pipe end or fitting. Sold in a package of 6, this adapter is made for plumbing professionals working on potable water systems in residential and light commercial applications. The wetted surface contains less than 0.25% lead by weight, meeting California AB1953 and Vermont VT S152 low lead restrictions. The fitting is immediately testable to well over 100 psi once installed and secured.
