The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME UC138LFA is a lead-free brass PEX barb adapter designed for connecting 3/4-inch PEX tubing to 1/2-inch male pipe thread (MPT) fittings. The barb end secures PEX tubing using stainless steel cinch clamps applied with a compatible cinch tool. Constructed from brass with a wetted surface containing less than 0.25% lead by weight, this adapter meets stringent potable water requirements. It is rated for continuous hot water circulation up to 140 degrees F, making it appropriate for both domestic supply and recirculation applications. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this fitting in residential and light commercial systems.

This adapter is intended for use with PEX tubing meeting ASTM F-876 and ASTM F-877 standards, dimensioned to SDR-9 specifications.
