Product Description

The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME UC134LFA is a lead-free brass barb insert adapter designed to connect 3/4-inch cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) tubing to a 3/4-inch female iron pipe thread (FIP) end or fitting. The barb insert end grips the interior of the PEX tube, and the male pipe thread (MPT) end threads directly into a standard female iron pipe fitting. The fitting is immediately testable to well over 100 psi once secured, making it well suited for potable water distribution systems in both new construction and retrofit applications. Licensed plumbers and pipe mechanics are the primary installers of this fitting.

This adapter is used in residential and light commercial plumbing systems where PEX tubing transitions to a threaded iron pipe connection. It is commonly installed at fixture connections, manifold tie-ins, and supply line transitions. Barb ends must be secured using cinch clamps or copper crimp rings with the appropriate crimp tool before the system is pressurized. Sold in a package quantity of 12 units.
