The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME UC016LFCP25 is a lead-free brass barb insert coupling designed to join two sections of 3/4-inch cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) tubing in potable water systems. Sold in a 25-pack, this fitting is manufactured from lead-free brass with wetted surfaces containing less than 0.25% lead by weight, satisfying AB1953 California and VT S152 Vermont low-lead requirements. The barb design allows immediate pressure testing well above 100 psi once secured, making it a reliable choice for rough-in and repair work on residential and light commercial plumbing systems. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting as a standard PEX-to-PEX connection in water distribution lines.
This coupling is suited for residential and commercial potable water distribution applications where 3/4-inch PEX tubing is the specified piping material. It is compatible with standard barb-style installation methods using cinch clamps with a cinch tool or copper crimp rings with a crimp tool. The 25-pack quantity is practical for new construction rough-in work, remodel projects, or keeping service vehicles stocked with a commonly used PEX fitting size.
Designed for use with 3/4-inch cross-linked polyethylene PEX tubing. Secure barb ends using TV 608-826 cinch clamps with a TV 608-743 cinch tool, or standard copper crimp rings with a compatible crimp tool.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before cutting into any existing line. Ensure the PEX tubing end is cut cleanly and squarely before seating it fully onto the barb. Cinch clamps and crimp rings must be positioned and secured with the correct tool to achieve a leak-free connection.
