Designed for use exclusively with PEX-A pipe, this fitting uses the expansion connection method, requiring a PEX expansion tool and compatible expansion rings to complete the joint. Once expanded and released, the fitting memory contracts around the pipe, creating a joint that strengthens over time. The UA248A5 is approved for potable water service lines and burial applications, including installation within concrete encasements.

This fitting is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing applications where PEX-A piping systems are specified.
