The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME U340LFA is a 3/4-inch x 3/4-inch lead-free drop ear elbow designed for push-fit installation on copper, CPVC, and PEX tubing. Constructed from DZR (dezincification-resistant) brass, this fitting delivers reliable performance in potable and hydronic water distribution systems. It ships with an integral tube liner included. Rated to 200 psi and 200 degrees F, the U340LFA meets the pressure and temperature demands of residential and light commercial plumbing. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians install this fitting where a branch line must terminate at a wall-mounted threaded connection, such as a shower arm or tub spout stub-out.

The U340LFA is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing installations where a push-fit connection must transition to a female iron pipe thread. The drop ear configuration allows the fitting to be screwed directly to framing or blocking, securing the pipe end at a fixed point in the wall. It is compatible with copper tube size (CTS) copper tubing, CPVC, and PEX pipe. The package contains 12 fittings, making it practical for rough-in work on multi-fixture projects.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the applicable IPC or UPC code for the jurisdiction. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before fitting installation. Ensure pipe ends are cut square, deburred, and clean before inserting into the push-fit socket to the depth mark. The drop ear ears must be fastened to solid blocking or framing to prevent movement at the threaded outlet.
