The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME U134LFA is a lead-free, push-fit straight connector designed for fast, tool-free connections between push-fit systems and 3/4-inch male iron pipe (MIP) threads. Constructed from dezincification-resistant (DZR) brass, this fitting is rated to 200 psi and 200 degrees F, making it suitable for both potable water and hydronic distribution systems. An integral tube liner is included, supporting use with copper CTS, CPVC, and PEX tubing without requiring a separate insert. Licensed plumbers and pipe fitters install this fitting in residential and commercial plumbing applications where a reliable push-fit-to-threaded transition is needed.
This connector is suited for residential and light commercial water distribution systems where PEX, copper CTS, or CPVC tubing must terminate at a male iron pipe threaded fitting. Its push-fit design eliminates the need for soldering, crimping, or clamp tools at the push-fit end, reducing installation time. The fitting is certified for underground applications as a manufactured joint, and no access panel is required for concealed installations, making it practical for in-wall or below-slab rough-in work.
Compatible with copper tubing (CTS), CPVC, and PEX tubing in potable water and hydronic distribution systems. Certified for use on systems meeting UPC, IPC, and CUPC requirements. Listed with IAPMO and design-certified to ASSE 1061 and NSF 61 standards.
Installation of this fitting must be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes, including IPC and UPC where adopted. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before making any connections. Ensure tubing ends are cut square, deburred, and inserted to the full depth mark before the push-fit connection is made. Threaded connections should be made with appropriate thread sealant or tape per code requirements.
