The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME U110LFA is a lead-free, push-fit reducing connector designed to transition between a 1/4-inch tubing connection and a 1/2-inch Male Iron Pipe (MIP) thread. Constructed from DZR (dezincification-resistant) brass, it is rated to 200 psi and 200 degrees F, making it suitable for demanding potable water and hydronic distribution systems. The push-fit design requires no soldering, crimping, or clamps, and an integral tube liner is included for use with PEX tubing. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in residential and light commercial applications where a fast, reliable threaded-to-push-fit transition is needed.
This connector is compatible with copper tubing (CTS), CPVC, and PEX pipe. It is certified for potable water and hydronic water distribution systems, and is also approved for underground applications as a manufactured joint without requiring an access panel. The fitting meets UPC, IPC, and CUPC requirements and is listed with IAPMO. It ships in a bag as part of a 6-piece package, making it practical for service trucks and job-site inventory.
Designed for use with copper tubing (CTS), CPVC, and PEX pipe. Certified for potable water and hydronic water distribution per ASSE 1061 and NSF 61 standards. Listed with IAPMO and meets UPC, IPC, and CUPC requirements.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local codes, IPC, or UPC requirements. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before installation. Ensure tubing ends are cut square, deburred, and cleaned before insertion into the push-fit fitting. When using PEX tubing, confirm the integral tube liner is fully seated inside the tubing end prior to making the connection.
