The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME COMPDO123838Z is a full-port brass ball valve with a 1/2-inch compression inlet and dual 3/8-inch OD compression outlets. It is designed to supply water to two fixtures simultaneously from a single supply line connection. The quarter-turn operation provides a fast, reliable shutoff with no special tools required beyond a wrench for the compression fittings. This valve is built for residential plumbing rough-in and fixture supply applications and is typically installed by licensed plumbers or experienced plumbing contractors. The all-brass construction provides durability in potable water service.
This valve is well suited for supplying water to ice makers, toilets, and faucets from a single 1/2-inch copper supply line. The compression connection at the inlet and both outlets eliminates the need for soldering, making it a practical choice for retrofit and repair work where torch use is impractical or not preferred. The dual outlet design allows one supply point to serve two downstream fixtures, reducing the need for additional tees or fittings in tight spaces such as under-sink or behind-toilet installations. Compatible with copper pipe.
Compatible with copper pipe. Designed for use with standard 3/8-inch OD compression supply lines for ice makers, toilets, and faucets in residential plumbing applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the IPC. Shut off the main water supply and relieve line pressure before beginning work. Tighten the compression nut and ferrule at the inlet using a wrench — do not overtighten, as this can deform the ferrule and cause leaks. After installation, restore water supply slowly and inspect all compression joints for leaks before returning the system to service.
