Product Description

The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME 704Z2 is a PEX pipe 90-degree stub-out bend support designed to create stable, secure stub outs for supply stop valve connections at household plumbing fixtures. Sized for 1/2-inch PEX pipe, this bend support inserts into a compatible Sharkbite Bend Support Bar (sold separately) to hold the PEX in a precise 90-degree orientation. By forming a rigid stub-out directly from PEX, it eliminates the need for a traditional copper stub-out elbow and reduces the total fitting count in the rough-in assembly. Each package contains 5 units. Licensed plumbers and experienced plumbing contractors are the primary installers.

This bend support is intended for residential rough-in plumbing applications where PEX supply lines terminate at fixture stop valves — typical locations include bathroom vanities, toilets, kitchen sinks, and similar fixture rough-ins. It works in conjunction with the Sharkbite Bend Support Bar to anchor the PEX in position behind the finished wall or at the stub-out location, providing a solid base for connecting compression or push-fit supply stop valves. It is sized specifically for 1/2-inch PEX pipe.

Compatibility

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the IPC. Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure before assembling stub-out components. Insert the bend support into the Sharkbite Bend Support Bar before securing the assembly to framing. The Bend Support Bar is sold separately and is required for proper use of this component.
