The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME 40YE545536 is a coated stainless steel flexible gas connector designed to connect gas appliances to residential or light commercial gas supply lines. The connector measures 1 inch OD and 36 inches in length, with 3/4 inch FIP inlet and 3/4 inch MIP outlet end fittings. The MIP end is tapped to accept a 1/2 inch FIP connection, adding installation flexibility where supply piping sizes vary. The coated stainless steel construction resists corrosion and mechanical abrasion. Licensed plumbers and gas fitters install this type of connector during appliance hookup, replacement, or new construction rough-in.
This gas connector is suited for residential and light commercial applications where a flexible, corrosion-resistant connection is required between a gas shutoff valve and an appliance such as a range, dryer, water heater, or furnace. The 36-inch length provides adequate reach for most standard appliance installations. The dual-size tapped MIP end accommodates installations where the supply line transitions from 3/4 inch to 1/2 inch piping, reducing the need for a separate reducing bushing at the appliance connection point.
Designed as an OEM-style flexible gas connector for residential and light commercial gas appliance installations requiring a 1 inch OD, 36 inch stainless steel connector with 3/4 inch FIP x 3/4 inch MIP end fittings.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified gas fitter in accordance with local codes and the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC). Shut off the gas supply at the nearest upstream shutoff valve before disconnecting any existing connector or fitting. Do not reuse a previously installed flexible gas connector — replace it any time an appliance is moved or the connector shows signs of kinking, corrosion, or damage. Apply approved gas-rated thread sealant to all threaded connections and verify all joints for leaks before returning the system to service.
