The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME 30YE555436 is a 36-inch, 5/8-inch OD flexible gas connector designed to link gas ranges, boilers, and other high-usage appliances to a shut-off valve. It features an epoxy coating that resists corrosion, chemical stains from common household products, and UV exposure, making it approved for both indoor and outdoor installations. The connector is rated for gas appliances up to 125,000 BTU/h. Connections are made via a 3/4-inch FIP fitting on one end and a 3/4-inch MIP fitting — tapped 1/2-inch FIP — on the other. Licensed plumbers and gas fitters are the primary installers of this type of connector.
This connector is suited for residential and light commercial applications where a gas range, boiler, or similarly rated appliance must be connected to an existing shutoff valve. The 36-inch flexible length provides working room during appliance installation or replacement. The epoxy coating makes it appropriate for installations in environments where the connector may be exposed to cleaning chemicals or moderate UV light. It ships in a package quantity of 25 units, making it practical for supply houses and contractors stocking multiple jobs.
Certified for use with most major brands of gas ranges and boilers with gas ratings up to 125,000 BTU/h. Designed as a standard OEM-style replacement or new-installation connector for residential and light commercial gas appliances connected to a shutoff valve.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or gas fitter in accordance with local codes and IFGC requirements. Shut off the gas supply at the main valve and verify zero pressure in the line before disconnecting or connecting any fittings. Do not over-bend or kink the flexible connector body during routing. After installation, test all connections for leaks using an approved gas leak detection solution before restoring gas service.
