The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME 30YE545024B is a coated stainless steel gas connector designed for connecting gas appliances to residential supply lines. It measures 5/8 inch outer diameter and 24 inches in length, with a 3/4 inch MIP inlet and a 1/2 inch MIP outlet tapped for 3/8 inch FIP. The coated stainless steel construction provides corrosion resistance and flexibility, making it well suited for final connections at ranges, dryers, water heaters, and similar gas-fired appliances. Licensed plumbers and gas fitters install this type of connector as the last link between the rigid gas supply and the appliance fitting.
This connector is intended for residential gas appliance installations where a flexible corrugated line is required between a rigid supply stub-out and the appliance inlet. The dual-end threading configuration accommodates common supply and appliance fitting sizes, and the tapped 3/8 inch FIP allows adaptation to smaller appliance inlets without an additional reducer. Typical applications include kitchens, laundry rooms, and utility areas where gas ranges, dryers, or water heaters are connected to natural gas or liquid propane supply lines.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation gas connector for residential gas appliances requiring a 5/8 inch OD flexible corrugated stainless steel connector with 3/4 inch MIP x 1/2 inch MIP end fittings.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified gas fitter in accordance with local codes and IFGC requirements. Shut off the gas supply at the meter or service valve before disconnecting or installing any gas connector. Do not kink, stretch, or route the connector through walls, floors, or ceilings. Apply an approved pipe thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for gas service to all threaded connections and verify with a leak-detection solution after restoring gas pressure.
