The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME 24613LFA is a lead free brass ball valve designed for use in PEX tubing systems. It features a 3/4 inch barb insert inlet and a 3/4 inch barb insert outlet, connecting to PEX tubing secured with stainless steel cinch clamps using the cinch tool TV 608-743. The quarter-turn lever handle provides fast, positive shutoff. A built-in drain port adds convenience during service or winterization. Wetted surfaces contain less than 0.25 percent lead by weight, meeting current low-lead requirements. This valve is intended for potable water systems, including hot water recirculation lines carrying chlorinated water up to 140 degrees F.
The 24613LFA is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing applications where PEX tubing is the primary distribution material. It is appropriate for domestic cold and hot water supply lines, as well as hydronic and recirculating hot water systems. Installers working with SDR-9 PEX to ASTM F-876 and ASTM F-877 dimensional standards will find this valve a direct fit. It is commonly installed at branch shutoffs, fixture isolation points, and service access locations in new construction and remodel work.
Designed for use with PEX tubing connected via stainless steel cinch clamps and cinch tool TV 608-743, conforming to SDR-9 dimensional standards per ASTM F-876 and ASTM F-877. Suitable for potable water and hot water recirculation systems meeting NSF 14 and NSF 61 requirements.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code. Shut off system water supply and depressurize the line before installing or servicing this valve. Use the appropriate cinch clamp tool to secure barb connections — do not substitute compression or crimp ring methods on barb fittings. Verify that PEX tubing meets SDR-9 dimensional standards before installation.
