Product Description

The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME 24612LFA is a lead-free brass ball valve designed for 1/2-inch PEX tubing installations. It features a 1/2-inch brass barb insert inlet and a 1/2-inch brass barb insert outlet, a quarter-turn lever handle for fast shutoff, and a built-in drain port for system servicing. The wetted surfaces of this valve contain less than 0.25% lead by weight, satisfying low-lead plumbing requirements. Licensed plumbers and experienced PEX installers working on potable water distribution systems are the primary installers of this valve.

This valve is engineered for use with PEX tubing connected using stainless steel cinch clamps and a compatible cinch tool. It meets ASTM F-876 and ASTM F-877 to SDR-9 dimensional standards, making it appropriate for both hot and cold residential and light commercial water supply lines. The NSF CL-R certification confirms suitability for hot water recirculation systems where chlorinated water at up to 140 degrees Fahrenheit is continuously circulated.
