The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME 23056LF is a lead-free needle valve drain valve designed for use on cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) tubing systems. It features a 1/2-inch chrome-plated barb insert inlet and a 1/4-inch OD outlet. The brass insert construction meets NSF listing requirements, and the wetted surfaces contain less than 0.25% lead by weight, satisfying potable water safety standards. This valve is installed by licensed plumbers on residential and light commercial PEX distribution systems where a reliable, testable drain point is required. It ships in a package quantity of 6.

This drain valve is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing applications on PEX tubing systems built to SDR-9 dimensional standards per ASTM F-876 and ASTM F-877. It is rated for use in hot water systems where chlorinated water at up to 140 degrees F is continuously recirculated, making it appropriate for domestic hot water recirculation loops. Installation requires either TV 608-933 cinch clamps with cinch tool TV 608-743 or standard copper crimp rings. Once crimped, each fitting can be pressure-tested to well over 100 psi.
