Product Description

The SHARKBITE/CASH ACME 20YE50V018B is an 18-inch, 1/2-inch OD epoxy-coated gas connector designed for residential appliance connections. It ships as a complete kit: one gas connector, one 1/2-inch MIP fitting tapped for 3/8-inch FIP, and one 1/2-inch MIP ArmorBoost EFV auto shut-off valve. The ArmorBoost EFV is a thermal excess flow valve that immediately restricts gas flow if a rupture or disconnect occurs in the line. It also includes a fire-safe thermal ring that expands to stop gas flow when temperatures exceed 350 degrees F. This connector is rated for gas appliances up to 93,100 BTU/h.

This connector is suited for residential gas appliance installations, including water heaters and dryers. The included ArmorBoost EFV provides an added layer of protection by remaining activated until the gas line is properly repaired following a fault condition.
