The SHARKBITE 24687 is a 1/2-inch x 1/2-inch x 30-inch Click Seal Push-To-Connect Straight Stop Faucet Connector designed for potable water supply and hydronic heating applications where an in-line shutoff is required. The push-to-connect end accepts copper, CPVC, or PEX pipe without soldering, clamps, unions, or glue — stainless steel teeth grip the pipe on insertion while a specially formulated O-ring compresses to form a pressure-tight seal. The Click Seal nut on the faucet-supply end is hand-tightened until it audibly clicks, confirming a secure connection. Licensed plumbers and experienced DIYers install this valve where a shutoff at the faucet supply stub-out is needed.
