The SHARKBITE 23037LFA4 is a quarter-turn straight stop valve sold in a 4-pack, designed for residential plumbing shutoff applications. Each valve features a 1/2-inch push-fit inlet and a 3/8-inch OD compression outlet, allowing a licensed plumber or experienced tradesperson to isolate water flow to individual fixtures such as toilets, faucets, and supply lines. The push-fit end connects to copper, CPVC, or PEX pipe without solder, clamps, or glue. Stainless steel teeth grip the pipe on insertion while a specially formulated O-ring compresses to create a watertight seal.
This valve is used at the point where a water supply pipe enters a room or cabinet, giving service techs and plumbers a fast shutoff without cutting water to the entire structure. It is well suited for residential bathroom and kitchen installations, fixture replacement, and maintenance work where quick isolation is required. The valve body can be rotated after assembly, which simplifies positioning in tight or confined spaces. The 4-pack format supports multi-fixture jobs or service truck stocking.
Designed for use with 1/2-inch copper, CPVC, or PEX supply pipe on the inlet side, with a 3/8-inch OD compression connection on the outlet side, typical of standard residential fixture supply line connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. Shut off the main water supply and relieve line pressure before removing any existing valve or fitting. Pipe ends must be cut cleanly and deburred before insertion into the push-fit end to ensure a proper seal. Use the designated SharkBite disconnect tool when removing the fitting — do not attempt to pull the pipe free without it.
