The SHARKBITE 23037-0000LF is a lead-free, push-fit straight stop valve designed for use in residential and commercial potable and hydronic water distribution systems. It features a 1/2 inch push-fit inlet and a 3/8 inch compression outlet, constructed from DZR (dezincification-resistant) brass for long-term durability in water service environments. The valve is rated to 200 psi and 200 degrees F, making it suitable for a wide range of plumbing service conditions. An integral tube liner is included for use with PEX tubing, eliminating the need for a separate insert. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this fitting.
This straight stop is commonly installed as a supply stop valve at fixture connections including sinks, lavatory faucets, and similar fixtures in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. Compatible with copper tubing (CTS), CPVC, and PEX with the included integral tube liner, it covers the most common supply line materials encountered in the field. The push-fit end allows tool-free connection on the supply side, reducing installation time. It is certified for underground applications as a manufactured joint without the need for an access panel, adding flexibility in rough-in scenarios.
Compatible with copper tubing (CTS), CPVC, and PEX pipe on the push-fit inlet side. The 3/8 inch compression outlet connects to standard fixture supply lines. Listed with IAPMO and certified for use on potable and hydronic water distribution systems. Meets UPC, IPC, and CUPC requirements. Design certified to ASSE 1061 and NSF 61 standards.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes referencing the IPC or UPC. Shut off the main water supply and relieve line pressure before removing any existing valve or fitting. For PEX connections, ensure the integral tube liner is fully seated inside the pipe end before inserting into the push-fit socket. Verify pipe ends are cut square, deburred, and clean before making any push-fit connection.
