The SharkBite 23036LFA4 is a quarter-turn angle stop valve sold in a 4-pack, designed for residential plumbing shutoff applications. Each valve connects a 1/2-inch supply line to a 3/8-inch OD compression outlet and controls water flow to individual fixtures such as toilets, faucets, and supply lines. The push-to-connect inlet accepts copper, CPVC, or PEX pipe without solder, clamps, or glue. Stainless steel teeth grip the pipe on insertion while a specially formulated O-ring compresses to form a watertight seal. Licensed plumbers and experienced DIYers install these during fixture rough-in or when replacing failed shutoff valves at the point where a supply line enters a room.
These angle stop valves are intended for residential water supply systems where individual fixture isolation is required. Typical installations include under-sink shutoffs for lavatory faucets, toilet supply line connections, and similar low-pressure household plumbing points. The push-to-connect inlet eliminates the need for torch work, making them well suited for retrofit and repair scenarios where open flame is undesirable. After assembly, the valve body can be rotated for easier positioning in confined under-sink or in-wall spaces. A disconnect tool allows fast removal and reuse of the fitting if the layout needs to change.
Designed for use with copper, CPVC, and PEX supply pipe at residential fixture shutoff points. The push-to-connect inlet is rated for standard 1/2-inch nominal pipe and the outlet accepts standard 3/8-inch OD compression supply lines.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified tradesperson in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the main water supply and depressurize the line before cutting or disconnecting any existing valve. Ensure the pipe end is cut cleanly and squarely and is free of burrs before insertion into the push-connect fitting. Do not exceed the rated working pressure for the valve or use these fittings on gas lines.
