The SHARKBITE 22186-0000LF is a lead-free, female connector manual ball valve designed for potable water systems in residential and light commercial plumbing applications. The valve features a 3/4 inch MNPT inlet paired with a 3/4 inch Push-To-Connect outlet, allowing for fast field installation without soldering or crimping on the push-fit end. The brass body and brass seat and trim deliver reliable shutoff performance up to 200 psi and 200 degrees F. EPDM seals provide long-term resistance to water and common plumbing fluids. This valve is certified lead-free and meets IAPMO/ANSI Z1157, NSF/ANSI 372, and NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 standards, making it appropriate for direct use in drinking water lines.
This valve is suited for potable water distribution systems where a threaded male connection on one side and a push-fit connection on the other side simplify retrofits or new installations. It is commonly installed at fixture isolation points, branch takeoffs, or equipment supply lines where manual on/off control is needed. The standard port configuration is appropriate for most residential service and light commercial plumbing where full-port flow is not required. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the typical installers.
Designed for potable water applications using 3/4 inch MNPT threaded pipe connections combined with 3/4 inch Push-To-Connect compatible tubing, consistent with SharkBite push-fit system requirements.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before removing or installing any valve. Ensure the MNPT threads are properly cleaned and wrapped with thread seal tape or pipe dope before making up the threaded connection. On the push-fit end, confirm the pipe or tubing is cut square, deburred, and fully inserted to the depth mark before operating the valve.
