The SGS PRO 19365 is a tungsten carbide abrasive bur in a ball nose cylinder (SC-5) head shape, designed for material removal and shaping on steel, hardened steel, and cast iron. The 1/2 inch cutting diameter and 1 inch length of cut make it well suited for contour grinding, deburring, and port work in confined areas. A 1/4 inch shank provides compatibility with standard die grinders and rotary tools. The uncoated tungsten carbide head delivers the hardness required to work ferrous materials without premature wear. Maximum rated speed is 28,000 RPM, which falls within the operating range of most pneumatic and electric die grinders used in fabrication and maintenance shops.
This bur is used in metalworking applications where precise material removal is needed on steel and cast iron workpieces. Typical tasks include deburring drilled or cast holes, blending weld joints, enlarging ports, and shaping internal contours. It is a common tool for machinists, maintenance technicians, tool-and-die workers, and industrial fabricators working on both bench-mounted pieces and in-place components. The ball nose cylinder profile allows the tip to reach rounded or curved internal surfaces that flat-end burs cannot access effectively.
Designed for use with standard 1/4 inch collet die grinders, pneumatic rotary tools, and electric rotary tools used in metalworking and industrial maintenance applications. Material application includes steel, hardened steel, and cast iron per manufacturer specification.
Installation is performed by securing the 1/4 inch shank into the collet of a compatible die grinder or rotary tool and tightening per the tool manufacturer's torque guidance. Always confirm the tool's rated RPM meets or exceeds 28,000 RPM before operation, and never run the bur above its maximum rated speed. Wear appropriate eye protection and gloves when operating rotary burs on ferrous materials. Inspect the bur for cracks or chipping before each use and remove it from service if damage is found.
